USB Secondary Display Frequently Asked Questions

Q&A

Question Answer
Q1: Is software installation mandatory? A: Yes. The device cannot work without running the software.
Q2: Antivirus falsely reports the software as malware after installation? A: The bundled software is clean and virus‑free, safe for use. It is recommended to disable third‑party antivirus software such as 360 to avoid false‑positive detections.
Q3: Is a cable connection required? A: The secondary display has two ports: a 4‑pin port for connecting to the motherboard 9‑pin header, and a USB port for direct connection to a PC USB port. Either connection method works; both provide identical functionality.
Q4: Software cannot detect or connect to the device? A: Try switching to another USB port or replace the data cable. Direct connection to PC ports is recommended. Docks or USB hubs may cause connection issues.
Q5: Can it work on Mac computers? A: No. Only 64‑bit Windows 10 and later are supported. There is no macOS software release available.
Q6: Can it play videos? A: No.
Q7: Can it act as a standard PC secondary monitor? A: No. This device displays custom content via our dedicated software and cannot mirror or extend the Windows desktop as a regular secondary monitor.
Q8: The screen image is upside‑down. Can I rotate the display? A: Yes. Go to Software → Hardware Settings → Device Orientation (0° / 180°) to adjust rotation.
Q9: Technical Support A: (Please contact customer service for technical assistance if you need help.)
Why is the displayed GPU utilization inaccurate?

Select the correct graphics card from the GPU dropdown menu in the left‑side software configuration panel. If your system has both integrated and discrete GPUs, select the corresponding GPU whose metrics you wish to monitor.

Why are network upload / download statistics not updating?

First open Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections to confirm which network adapter is currently active.

Then select the matching network adapter from the Network Adapter dropdown in the left‑side software panel for correct network‑speed readings.

Why are fan speed and GPU temperature sometimes not shown?

Confirm you are not using an integrated graphics chip, and your graphics card is equipped with sensor‑enabled fans.

The bundled software cannot read certain non‑standard fan and GPU temperature sensors.

Display content becomes distorted or squashed after switching themes

Verify that the theme resolution matches your hardware display resolution. Mismatched resolutions will cause compressed and distorted rendering.

Example: If you own a 3.5‑inch 480×320 unit but load a theme designed for 480×272, visual distortion will occur.

1.Device powers on with no response, screen remains dark

Confirm the Type‑C cable is properly connected. Verify supply voltage and cable contact.

If backlight still fails to activate after these checks, a hardware circuit fault may exist.

2.Backlight turns on after power‑on, but no picture is displayed

Working backlight indicates power supply is functional. Check for insufficient supply voltage and confirm you have started display output within the host software. If needed, troubleshoot signals with multimeter, oscilloscope or logic analyzer, and contact our technical support for assistance.

3.Host software reports no available screen

Check whether the backlight is lit. Check Windows Device Manager to verify device enumeration. Re‑plug the device, try different PC ports and alternative data cables. If still undetected, contact our technical team.

4.Screen stays dark after starting display output in software

Check if the backlight is lit. No backlight may indicate insufficient power; try different USB ports or another cable. Also verify brightness level is not set too low, confirm correct pixel resolution and valid theme selection.
